DateMore AI ("we", "our", "the app") is a mobile application that helps users craft responses for dating conversations using artificial intelligence. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the data we handle.
Device Identifier. When you first open the app, we generate a random identifier (UUID) stored on your device. This is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID, or any personal account. It is used solely to track your daily free usage and subscription status.
IP Address. Your IP address is logged with each request to prevent abuse of the free tier. IP addresses are not shared with third parties for marketing or advertising.
Message Content. The text you enter into the app (your message and any optional context) is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. We do not store the content of your messages on our servers. Only metadata is retained (see below).
Usage Metadata. For each request, we record: the length of your message (not the message itself), whether you provided context, the tone you selected, the number of AI tokens used, and a timestamp. This data helps us monitor costs and improve the service.
Subscription Status. We store whether your device has an active subscription, which product you purchased, and when it expires. Payment details (credit card, billing address) are handled entirely by Apple and are never sent to our servers.
OpenAI. The message text and optional context you enter are sent to OpenAI's API to generate response suggestions. OpenAI processes this data according to their privacy policy. We use the API configuration where inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI's models.
RevenueCat. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat receives your anonymous device identifier and purchase receipts from Apple. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.
Apple. In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We never receive or store your payment information.
Usage metadata is retained for up to 90 days for abuse prevention and cost monitoring, then automatically deleted. Subscription records are retained as long as your subscription is active and for 30 days after expiration.
All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Our backend is hosted on Render with managed infrastructure. Database access is restricted to our application only.
DateMore AI is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, please contact us and we will delete any associated data.
Since we do not collect personal information tied to your identity, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you would like your device identifier and associated usage records removed from our system, contact us and we will process the request within 30 days.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
